Donations Accepted

We are currently taking monetary donations. These will be accepted in the form of cash, check, or you can even donate through the link below with your credit card.

1. Donate with cash - if you wish to donate with cash we request that you deliver this to Denise Zwiener or Kris Miller as we do not recommend sending cash through the mail.
   
   
2. Donate with check - please make check out to Kearney Area Community Foundation and in the memo area write in Pleasanton Community Improvement. Mail the check to:

   and she will make sure it gets added to the donations. This donation is tax-deductible as long as you make the check to the Kearney Area Community Foundation.

If you are unable to donate monetarily, we will be looking for help during fundraisers and also will be asking for food donations for some of the scheduled fundraisers.

Yes....It is true.

Good news. The sign pole is in the ground and concrete is curing. We will be erecting the sign in the near future. Watch for future plans soon.

Our goal has be set for $10,000. We realize that this is a big number but we want a sign that will stand out amoungst all the community signs in the area. Our goal is to get enough help to do some of the work ourselves to help keep this cost lower. We have been in contact with a sign company and working on an agreement to only charge us for the cost of materials (with no markup) and any labor they have to provide in exchange for our help in completing the project. This can save us between $2500 and $5000 alone.

A small committee of locals have been discussing getting a new sign for the community of Pleasanton. It is only in the fundraising stages so we have began doing different fundraisers raise money for the sign. The above photo is a mock drawing of what is being proposed for the sign. Of course being in the intermediate stages, there will be changes in size, wording, location, etc. we are sure as the project progresses.

The projects goal is to produce an eye appealing sign that will allow our community to stand out. Also the goal is to create a sign that will allow events associated with the community to be posted. This marquee could be used for not only events related to our school but any event that is community based such as Welcome To Old Settler's Weekend, Family Reunions, Community Theater production, special fundraisers, and the list can go on and on.

Watch the website as information becomes available, this website will hopefully be one of the means for communication for progress. Watch for the spaghetti feed coming this winter as our next fundraiser.
